Maintenance Planner - Carlisle Brake & Friction - Medina, OH

This is a Full-Time Direct Hire Position with Benefits

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling of maintenance work orders., ensuring all stakeholders are involved and have buy in to the plan.

Ensure resources including skills, parts and time are available and adequately represented at each work site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Adhere to Safety Policies and Procedures

Maintain a positive relationship with plant management, supervisors, and hourly employees

Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives

Actively pursue measures to reduce safety risks, maintenance problems, and increase the reliability of manufacturing machinery and equipment* Enthusiastically provide support to plant management, supervisors, and machine operators in their continuous improvement initiatives

Establish, maintain and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling flow process* Scope resource requirements in order to conduct relevant repair and planned actions, taking in to account techniques such as: prevention, predictive and design out maintenance activity

Work with manager, supervisor, technicians, department supervisor and/or support engineer to develop cost and duration estimates for planned maintenance work

Procure all necessary parts, equipment, services and documentation in order to support the completion of maintenance work carried out by maintenance support, maintenance technicians and contractors* Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and job records data base

Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of technical information on processes and equipment* Inventory all maintenance parts and track location* Schedule maintenance work into production plan engaging the area supervisors and manager

Ensure key performance indicators (KPI's) are captured and reported out in a timely basis for equipment Up Time, Schedule completion to plan, MTBF, MTTR and all maintenance Metrics boards are updated

Continually improving planning, scheduling, purchasing, data management, and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency

Act as CMMS administrator assuring accurate equipment history is captured including parts and labor Maintenance schedules are up-dated and key performance data is available for analysis.

Develop and improve upon current breakdown, work order and PPM schedule process

Meet with supervisor and maintenance/facility manager on regular basis to report out on current maintenance KPIs and future timing plans

Develop and implement short term and long-term maintenance schedule documentation for visible management and display on team boards* Coordinate with maintenance management to plan and schedule Preventive and Predictive Maintenance at established intervals

Work with Maintenance Department Management to establish Standard Work for Daily Responsibilities (Start of Shift, Communication, Tier meetings, etc.)

Help to identify and train backup* Computer literate in programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Coordinate and provide support to outside maintenance vendors, when necessary* Maintain a clean and safe work area

Able to work weekends and be able to work any shift ? Education & Experience:* Demonstrated leadership and team building skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude, knowledge, and experience

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, operating manuals, and service manuals

Ability to work different shifts, as required* Willingness to perform other duties, as required ? Preferred Qualifications

Previous planner experience OR equivalent military experience

Experience with CMMS in an industrial environment
