Bay Mechanical and Electrical Corporation, recognized as an Accredited Quality Contractor, ten-time winner of the Diamond Safety Award and numerous awards for Excellence in Construction, is searching for an experienced Service Manager with, at a minimum, 5 years' experience. The successful candidate should have the ability to work independently, as well as be part of a team. They must pay attention to details, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
The duties of the Service Manager will consist of, but are not necessarily limited to, the following . . .
̶ Talking to customers by phone or in person and receiving orders for new service contracts, discontinuance, or changes in service
̶ Filling out contract forms, determining charges for services requested, preparing change of address records, and issuing discontinuance notices.
̶ Soliciting sales of new or additional services
̶ Adjusting complaints concerning services rendered, referring complaints of services rendered to designated department for investigation.
̶ Visiting customers at their places of business to investigate conditions pertaining to service.
̶ Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications for this position include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following . . .
̶ A high school diploma or GED; 5-8 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
̶ The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routing reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of an organization.
̶ The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
̶ The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form. The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardization situations.
̶ The ability to review, design, and estimate service related work items.
̶ Be able to maintain regular and punctual attendance
̶ The ability to follow instructions from supervision
̶ The ability to maintain positive interactions with other individuals

The qualified candidate should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, independent and able to work with minimal assistance and supervision. Candidate must also be able to pass a drug screen, background check and pre-employment physical.
