We are looking for a Model Builder who performs designing, machining and building of fixtures, components, and tooling. Working from blueprints and work orders, perform a wide variety of general and technical machine shop duties including CNC, equipment setup, operation, maintenance, calibration and welding.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in advanced machining, blueprint reading and welding necessary to build, alter, or repair tools, fixtures, molds, and machines. Performs equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and calibration.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in set up and operation of CNC and/or CAM operations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to trainees and other machinists in the set up and operation of machines and machining principles as required.
  • Initiate and contribute to continuous improvements in the department’s methods, capabilities, and productivity.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures such as the quality management system, KPIs, Lean, and Environmental Health and Safety.


Required Experience

EDUCATION: Associates Degree or Journeyman Tool & Die Card.




  • 8 years of documented work in related field.
  • Haas & Mazak experience preferred.
  • Be capable of reading blueprints to perform required tasks.
  • A strong mechanical inclination with prior experience with equipment set-up/operation/maintenance/calibration.
  • Proficient with computers, CAM, and spread sheet programs.
  • Good organizational skills with sound written and verbal communication skills.
