Southwest Cleveland Area Suburb is seeking a Business Development Engineer.  The Business Development Engineer's primary responsibility is to use their technical expertise to collaborate with R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing and with external suppliers to develop client solutions. Present and promote company products by making sales call, conducting demonstrations, training of products, website updates and PowerPoint presentations.  Identify and establish new client accounts. Determine pricing strategies for new and/or existing business.  Assist in the development of the sales plan and provide quarterly sales forecasts.  
 
REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Optical) or equivalent selling a technical product or backlighting technology (preferred)
  • 5 years' minimum application development, engineering or sales experience with a custom technical product.
  • Must have demonstrative consultative selling experience.
  • Experience within the Automotive industry highly preferred
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Must have good experience giving PowerPoint presentations, training manufacturing sales teams, providing demonstrations, etc.
  • Experience using a CRM system (Saleforce.com preferred)
  • Must have good experience with lead generation.
  • Must have good time management and project management skills.
  • Must be able to travel 30% of the time to client sites

 
Candidates may be required to submit to a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
