We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer with six or more years of experience to join our Telecom team in Cleveland, Ohio.
Experience in telecommunications structural engineering with a working knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete is required. The selected candidate will manage a team of engineers performing structural analysis and design work for traditional macro cell towers, tower mounts, small-cell utility structures, and buildings used to support wireless facilities. Candidates should have strong analytical, detailing, communication and interpersonal skills and should be able to develop and maintain good relationships with coworkers, industry peers and clients. Candidate will receive supervision, but will responsible for production and training of junior staff. We are seeking engineers that are able to jump into a project and start working immediately.
Civil Engineering degree with emphasis on structural engineering from an ABET accredited university, Master’s degree preferred.
Six years minimum of experience in relevant telecommunications structural design.
Must possess an Professional Engineering License and have the ability to obtain comity in other states.
Industry experience using Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit Structures and Sketchup.
Experience with RISA 3D, tnxTower, or other commercial structural analysis and design packages
Extensive knowledge of TIA-222
Some field work with travel is required. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs and be comfortable on ladders.
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Potential/desire to lead a practice and manage clients and a team
