Permanent Position: $45K - $120K + Benefits

Eastman Kodak Company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Enterprise Inkjet Systems Division in Dayton, OH.

As a member of the Commercial Inkjet Writing System team developing the next generation commercial inkjet technology, you will be responsible for product development and design of continuous inkjet printheads and act as liaison between the core technology development and product development/commercialization 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BSME with studies in fluid mechanics, structures and/or heat transfer desired
  • MS in engineering or physics desired
  • Prior inkjet development experience highly desired
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in a product development role
  • Strength in electrostatics
  • MS Applications – Word, Excel, Visio, Project
  • Strength in fundamental fluid mechanics, knowledge of jet and drop formation desired
  • FEA software Ansys is desired
  • CAD software SolidWorks is desired

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strengths in the areas of fluid mechanics (fluid and gas), electrostatics and heat transfer
  • Knowledge in acoustics, vibrations or air flow design desired
  • Finite element analysis – static, dynamic & multi-physics analysis
  • Familiar with solids CAD modeling
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment
  • Some domestic and international travel may be required
