Job Description

This position is to initiate sales in order to meet the budgeted sales goal and administration requirements for a specified sales area. The Business Development Representative will work to hunt new opportunities, close business, and develop and maintain relationships with customers. Business development will focus on local and regional prospects/customers.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales of the Champion ONE product line consistent with budget levels for the designated sales territory
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Expand and entrench Champion ONE’s position within the existing customer base
  • Maintain records of customer contacts using HubSpot software package, ensuring key contact/account profile information is updated, appointment purposes and results are logged and forecast information is accurate
  • Continuously devote time and energy to increasing personal skill level on Champion ONE Products, the industry and sales techniques
  • Provide Management with accurate forecasts of potential sales on an on-going basis
  • Present “Value” in the form of a Cost Benefit Analysis Presentation/PowerPoint presentation to decision makers. E.g., savings charts/matrix
  • Travel to existing and potential customers; including joint calls with inside sales, engineering and management
  • Identify sales issues that would cause Champion ONE to win and lose opportunities
  • Productively communicate needs for organizational improvement and embrace Champion ONE’s values.

  • Account management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability for overnight travel (10%)
  • Knowledge of computer software programs; Microsoft Office, Goldmine, and etc.

Must be highly organized and able to multitask
